Why NUBSLI are supporting Jeremy Corbyn

photo of jeremy corbynUnless you have been on another planet for the past few weeks, you will be aware that there is currently a Labour leadership campaign running.

The NUBSLI committee is proudly supporting Jeremy in his bid to become the next Labour leader, as the only candidate who has a proven commitment to equality issues, is anti-austerity and anti-privatisation. He not only supports Deaf and disabled peoples’ rights but the rights of workers and our trade unions.

Jeremy supports us!

For those of you who attended our first national meeting this year on March 21 you will have heard Jeremy speak.

He praised NUBSLI for our work. He spoke of why unions were so important for democracy and unity and how together we can be stronger and stop threats to our profession.

He supports our Scrap The Framework campaign and stopping privatisation of our services, saying: “the interpreting framework will diminish access and increase discrimination of Deaf people”.

Have your say
